MIND SETS FOR PROGRESS

Frist, you will not improve or see progress unless you beleive you can.  When practicing we are training or trying to learn.  When playing we should be trusting what we have practiced.

To reach our potential in golf the differences in playing (trusting) and learning (training) must be recognized and understood.  Both require different Mind Sets.  Golfers who make progress have developed a system of blending, learning and trusting.  When practicing, have a Learning-Traning Mind Set - on the course have a Playing-Trusting Mind Set.

I met Mike a little over 10 years ago.  I had taken up golf a year before.  As usual, with a beginner, fundamentals of the swing were what was needed at that time.  My game improved immediately!

A couple of years later, I had developed that shot that brings the hosel into play! I won't give it a name.  This lasted nearly two years and almost made me give up a game that I loved.  As some of my friends can attest, it was a miserable time for me.

I gave Mike a call, after a few mechanical lessons to work on a couple of flaws that had crept into my swing we were able to correct the problem. We then started working on the mental aspects of golf.  Golf and non-golf (ask Mike to explain this. It's fantastic!).  He taught me how to visualize shots and believe that you can execute them.  His sports psychology approach to the game has been a tremendoous help to me.  Highly recommended.

Mike did a series of golf instruction luncheons for our clients on the "Mental Side of Golf" in 2008.  These were a huge hit with our clients as they were both informational and entertaining.  The feedback and good will generated with our clients was fantastic!

Steps to Success

Steps to Success is a Nine step Process that when followed will give you the tools needed to live a joyful, prosperous life. All successfull people (teams) have common traits that have led them to the top of their chosen fields. The trait they all have in common is they made a choice to be successful. Success is a choice. When you make commitment to being the best person you can be, you have made the most important decision you will ever make. Once you have committed you must have belief. Belief is simply an inter-perception that you hold to be true. However, belief alone gets you nowhere. It needs to be combined with action. The action is consistently applying the traits that all successful people have in common to your life daily.
